What to Expect at a Veterinary Appointment

The process of your first veterinary appointment will be more pleasant for both you and your pet if you know what to expect. 

Get Settled

We ask you to arrive about10 minutes early to complete our New Patient Form. To save time, you can fill out the New Patient Form in advance online.

Meet Your Veterinarian

Someone from our team will review your pet's history and discuss their condition with you. You'll be able to ask any questions you have, and we'll designate time to answer them.

Examination, Diagnosis & Treatment

After your cat or dog's assessment, we will give you a diagnosis and treatment options. Your veterinarian will work with you to determine a treatment plan that meets your pet's needs.

After your visit, we will establish a detailed report of your pet's diagnosis, the discussions we had with you, and your pet's treatment plan. We will keep this information on file for when you require it.

  • What types of payment options are available?

    We expect payment in full at the time services are provided or upon discharge of your pet. We accept payments that are made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

  • Are there payment plans available for my pet’s care?

    We are pleased to offer you CareCredit and Scratchpay as financing options. They offer easy application processes that can give you results in minutes.

  • Will I be provided with an estimate of costs?

    We will give you a good-faith estimate for the costs of our services before treating your pet. Although, unforeseen circumstances could arise that may impact your final bill.

    We'll always discuss our written estimate with you before you leave our facility, and require a deposit based on our estimate before providing any further treatment.

  • Should I call ahead to book an appointment?

    Yes, please call ahead of time to schedule an appointment to make sure we have space in our schedule to see your pet.

    In a situation where your pet requires emergency care during our regular business hours, please contact us immediately.

  • What is your appointment cancellation policy?

    If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the space in our schedule to other clients. 

    Clients must pre-pay for their exams. A deposit for the full amount of the exam will be required.

    We will allow a reschedule/cancellation with more than 24 hours notice.

    No show or more than 10 minutes late will forfeit their appointment spot as well as their deposit.

  • What types of animals do you treat?

    We take care of cats and dogs.

  • Where can I purchase my pet's prescription and food?

    You can purchase the medications and specialty foods your cat or dog requires either via our online store or at our in-house pharmacy.

  • What are the fees associated with a specialty appointment?

    You are financially responsible for the initial examination fee and any diagnostics or treatments that you consent to for your pet’s treatment. Payment is due at time of service.

    If additional hospitalization, diagnostics, or surgery is needed, we will require a deposit upfront with payment due in full when your pet is discharged.

  • What are the fees associated with an emergency visit?

    We require a deposit payment for every emergency examination. After the vets and staff have examined your pet, an estimate for the treatment will be given to you to establish a treatment plan.

    If further hospitalization, diagnostics or surgery is required, we will require a deposit upfront, with payment in full due when your pet is discharged. 

  • Can you help with my pet insurance?

    We will be happy to help you fill out the pet insurance forms for your cat or dog's visit.
