You Can't Neglect Dental Care for Cats & Dogs

Routine vet dental care is a critical component of cats' and dogs' oral and overall health. Just like people, the consequences for not properly cleaning our furry friend's teeth on a regular basis can be incredibly costly and painful. Despite this, most pets don't get the oral hygiene care they need to properly maintain sterling oral health.

At our Yucaipa veterinary hospital, we provide complete dental care for your pet.  Preventive care takes the form of routine dental exams and teeth cleanings, while patients with more advanced dental health complications are eligible to receive dental x-rays and surgeries.

We know that caring for your pet is a team effort, so our team makes sure to educate our clients on how to care for their cat or dog's dental treatment at home for a maximally healthy smile.

Cat & Dog Teeth Cleaning & Exams

Much like your annual checkup at the dentist, your dog or cat should come in for a dental examination at least once a year. Pets who are more prone to dental problems than others may need to see us more often.

Green Valley Veterinary Clinic can assess, diagnose and treat dental health problems in cats and dogs.

FAQs About Pet Dental Care

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions from our patients about pet dental care.

Veterinary Dentistry: Anesthesia & Your Pet's Oral Health

Cats and dogs do not understand what is going on during dental procedures, and will often react to dental procedures by struggling or biting.

Our Yucaipa vets provide anesthesia to all of our patients before performing dental procedures. Similar to the anesthesia provided to nervous or anxious patients by human dentists, This puts less stress on the animals and allows us to give their teeth the TLC they need.
